Bugeaters FC are set to take on FC Boulder this Saturday evening in the second season of the Bison Cup.

Last season, the Bugeaters won 2-1 with FC Boulder gaining a late goal.  This season’s edition takes place at Morrison Stadium and should be competitive again.

FC Boulder, playing in the newly founded Mountain Premier League are 5-1-0 (W-D-L) in the Mountain Premier League, a newly founded league in 2019.  The program is well established though and the Bugeaters take on the 1st team of the seasoned academy.

Malik Mennana leads FC Boulder and the league with 12 goals in those 6 competitions.  Also with the club is former Bugeaters 2018 alum, Sam Klos.

The Bugeaters (4-2-1) meanwhile come into this match in the thick of the season.  The club had double duty last weekend, playing 2 matches in 3 days.  They defeated USL2 side Kaw Valley FC 2-0 and tied Des Moines Wanderers FC 1-1.  The team has not been defeated since they fell away to Chattanooga FC 2-1 on May 4th in a highly challenging match.

One to watch is Gabriel Gaiotto of Midland University.  The São Paolo native had two solid matches last week and continues to be a staple in the Bugeaters defense.  On the attack, expect Carlos Ferrer to lead the way.  He is likely to combine with fellow Concordia University forward Roger de la Villa to challenge the defense.

The match is set to kick off at 7 PM at Morrison Stadium.  Tickets are available at the gate ($10/adults and $5/youth).
