BUGEATERS AND NEBRASKA STATE SOCCER ASSOCIATION INK PARTNERSHIP

Unique partnership will focus on expanding the game in Nebraska.

January 25, 2019 - Bugeaters FC have announced a partnership with the Nebraska State Soccer Association (NSS).  NSS is the official representative of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) for the state of Nebraska.  It is also a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association and United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

“This is an absolutely exciting opportunity to help build the game in Nebraska,” club Founder Jonathan Collura said. “NSS leads the way in the state and we plan to focus on developing the community aspect of the club alongside them. We will be teaming up with them side-by-side to focus on development and programs statewide."

The partnership developed out of a mutual mission.

“We look forward to this partnership.  It’s exciting to work with an organization who has the same focus as NSS, growing the game locally and providing opportunities for local players,” NSS Executive Director Casey Mann said.

Bugeaters will look to help NSS expand its programs and opportunities.  The initial plan is to focus on youth programs in the state and expanding access to quality coaching.

“We started discussions at the end of last season and found that the best path to develop in the community was this partnership,” Bugeaters General Manager Jordan Bartels said.  “The state has so much untapped potential that just needs an opportunity.”

“We look forward to working with the ‘Bugs’ to improve soccer in the state of Nebraska,” Mann continued.

The partnership will launch in 2019 and will be ongoing.
